It seems all I’m posting about anymore are markets - oh dear, I will have to see to that . But I have just 2 more before the end of the year and although I haven’t attended either before, I have heard only good things about both.

First up, this Thursday the 10th is the Neighbourgoods Christmas Night Market on from 6pm - 10pm at the Biscuit Mill in Albert Road, Woodstock.

And on Saturday the 12th is the Muizenberg Christmas Sale on fro 9am - 4pm. Loads of talent, beautiful gifts and free champagne - what more could you want?

I have an exciting new product that’s been in the pipeline for ages and the first ones are finally out and ready to present themselves to society and accept prospective suitors, so come see! Clue: pandas eat it and you put it on your wall and gaze admiringly at it.

What has Tilly De Touid Snifferton Couchie been dreaming about? You’ll have to ask her new home-provider, Heather Moore of Skinny La Minx, who has successfully integrated Tilly into the family through use of dream therapy. Have a look on Skinny La Minx now.

In other Couchie news, 2 newcomers have arrived in the shop today. Please welcome Jubilee Tangleton Couchie and Zoda Viola Snifferton Couchie.

Jubilee is 20 times faster than anyone she knows. Sometimes she is so fast that it may seem as though she is not moving at all. She has been known to use her ability for good (catching coffee mugs, cupcakes and slices of toast as they fall) and bad (having way more than her quota of chips, popcorn and strawberries). She is very food-orientated.

Zoda Viola is preoccupied with insects. She finds them to be the most fascinating form of life. Especially ants and termites, whom she can gaze at for hours, wondering at their determined business. She has drawn up blueprints for a Couchie colony based on a termite mound design and is currently looking for a suitable building contractor.

For as long as I have been making Couchies, I have been meaning to feature them in a cartoon style story of their own. But this past week my 12 year old niece beat me to it when she and my sister stayed with us. Here is her terribly cute and lovely Couchie Party.
