Couchies are clearly snuggling their way into the hearts of the people. All over the land, they are being reported as being highly suitable companions for deserving citizens.
See them featured in the Kriss Miss Moss Gift Guide .

What has Tilly De Touid Snifferton Couchie been dreaming about? You’ll have to ask her new home-provider, Heather Moore of Skinny La Minx, who has successfully integrated Tilly into the family through use of dream therapy. Have a look on Skinny La Minx now.

In other Couchie news, 2 newcomers have arrived in the shop today. Please welcome Jubilee Tangleton Couchie and Zoda Viola Snifferton Couchie.
Jubilee is 20 times faster than anyone she knows. Sometimes she is so fast that it may seem as though she is not moving at all. She has been known to use her ability for good (catching coffee mugs, cupcakes and slices of toast as they fall) and bad (having way more than her quota of chips, popcorn and strawberries). She is very food-orientated.

Zoda Viola is preoccupied with insects. She finds them to be the most fascinating form of life. Especially ants and termites, whom she can gaze at for hours, wondering at their determined business. She has drawn up blueprints for a Couchie colony based on a termite mound design and is currently looking for a suitable building contractor.

Forgot to mention before that Hello Again in Bloem Street, Cape Town, now stocks MGP Couchies and brooches.
They also sell t-shirts with great designs as well as other designer and vintage clothing. Definitely worth a visit.

It’s always such a treat to find out that you were on the front page. Even if you didn’t catch it while it was there, thanks to Craft Cult and a Flickr group dedicated to the task, you can always sleuth it out later.
I’ve only been featured twice before and this time it was my sea fan painting that I’m becoming quite accustomed to having on my own wall.

Featured on Miss Moss, lovely blog by the Stellenboschian Diana Moss, is Ferdinand Mulderberry.
And on Beatnik Bazaar (a shop in stanford, cape town, selling kooky, quirky and whimsical locally crafted designer goods and decor, retro trinkets and furniture) is Frosti Mulderberry.
Hooray!

As I have confessed before, I’m still new to blogging and sharing and having a presence on the web so it is very exciting for me when I am featured in someone’s Etsy treasury or their blog and I can’t very well keep it to myself, so I will be sure to be using my blog as a boasting platform, if you don’t mind. Hey, you have to take your fame where you can get it!
So here are the 2 most recent:
On Little Pink Pebble’s Etsy Finds

Littlepinkpebble is an illustrator and I just love this painting from her Etsy shop:

I’m sure I must’ve had this dream / fantasy. It reminds me of The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. I just couldn’t wait for them to find that library. Imagine what’s in those books… ancient stories, accounts of faeries, lists of names, amazing inventions, secret societies… I feel kindof funny looking at this painting and thinking about it.
And then my heart brooches were featured on Wren’s blog too - hooray!

I hope to have my own shop up and running soon, but in the meantime, here is my lovely Etsy shop.
Etsy is the reason I started creating things again and helped me finally say “I am a crafter!” with pride, rather than mumble it into my sleeve apologetically. Okay, so I still sometimes do it…but less often.
The array of talent on that site is remarkable and browsing around the site never fails to lift me out of a creative slump.
Thank you Etsy!
